“You Don’t Get Old, Until You Replace Dreams with Regrets” ~ Troy Dumais.
They say “Age is just a number”, yet we live most of our lives counting numbers and years, and not living. They say “Youth is the one of the heart”, yet we live most of our lives ignoring the needs of the hearts of ours.
Your age should not be one of those excuses you put on repeat mode everyday to stop yourself from doing what you really want and follow one or two dreams, nor one of those that you tell yourself to feel good when you realize that you have not evolved as a human being on any level for so long.
Why are you scared of getting old, a little old, a medium old or too old!
Nothing and no one can limit you, not even age. Only You can limit You!
I know aging is a hot topic, and there is a full industry that has revolutionized this concept, so we can all age gracefully! I have seen around me my family, relatives, friends, neighbors, colleagues and so many others that do not share their age (only when filling those doctors’ forms unwillingly) as not to be judged or called “old” as if it is an epidemic disease.
I am aware that people judges, but HELLO, people judges anyway and every-way possible (unfortunately) whether you are 18 or 88! So maybe you need to scratch one off from your anxiety list and worry More about how to make your Life awesome for you regardless of your age.
Let me be very honest, if your partner would not love you anymore because you are aging, the problem is not with your age. If your boss at work will not support you and trust your capabilities because you are getting older, the problem for sure is not with your age. If you are not healthy because you adopt a very harmful unhealthy lifestyle in your previous years, the problem is definitely not with your age.
Yes, there are some issues that can be affected by age, but everything in Life would look, feel and be less onerous if we embrace them as they are. Age is not an exception.
One of the definitions of “Old” is: “Being Experienced”. I am so proud to say I am 38 years-experienced, and I can’t wait for More, More and More years of being More-Experienced.
“I’ve seen the World, done it all. Had my cake now. Will You still love me when I am no longer young and beautiful? I know you will”. ~ Young and Beautiful Song by Lana Del Rey.
